Anthea Blouse

This is a 1 day workshop on how to make that perfect everyday blouse, starting at 9.15am and finishing around 5pm. Hot drinks and biscuits will be available throughout the day and you are welcome to bring a packed lunch of there are many food places nearby including Greggs.

The Anthea blouse is a dartless blouse with puffed sleeves. A button up front with built on placket and bias faced neckline make it the perfect beginner dress maker blouse. With varying lengths of sleeves allowing for different options, whilst a curved hem give a soft finish. This blouse is perfect “jeans and a nice top” - Fauve already has 7 different versions and Asmaa has 3!

Sewing level - Beginners to dress making (ability to thread a sewing machine essential)

Skills you will learn:

1.     Insertion of sleeves

2.     Curved Hem

3.     Bias Binding attachment

What will be provided:

1.     Anthea blouse sewing pattern (this will be ready to collect/posted to you in advance of the workshop so you can cut your pattern pieces at home - more details about this will be provided after booking)

2.     Interfacing

3.     Sewing tools including scissors, rotary cutters, cutting mat, pins

4.     Sewing machine/overlocker/iron

What you need to bring with you:

1.     Fabric (more info on this will be provided after booking)

2.     Matching thread

3.     Buttons

4. A basic sewing kit

5. You are encouraged to bring your own sewing machine but there are machines available at the studio
