Food & Drink
We provide teas, coffee, water, squash and biscuits (we always have alternative milks too)
You are welcome to bring some party food & drinks (including alcoholic drinks) but please note that you only get a few mins when you arrive and a short break just over half way through the party.
We therefore ask that you just bring enough drinks for 2 drinks per person (1 prosecco bottle serves 6 glasses) and only bring simple snacks like crisps and dips or cupcakes.
We provide drinking glassware, including champagne flutes, we also have vintage side plates but you would need to bring any napkins & cutlery if needed.

How do I pay for the party?
Full info can be found in our T&C's (in blue below), but in brief to secure the date you need to pay a £50 deposit (please note the deposit for life drawing parties is £100 to cover booking our life model) we will then be in touch via email just over a week before your event to confirm final attendee numbers and we will then produce an invoice which should be paid 7 days before the party.
Party Decorations..
We put up party bunting if requested upon booking. We also have some photo props for hen parties.
Our studio is a creative mix of colourful things so we don't think that you need anything else but some people do bring balloons and extra decorations and we do have hooks around the room they can be attached to.

Parking…
We are in a student area with mostly residential parking nearby - please share the following page with your guests if you are arriving separately - www.larkdesignmake.co.uk/contact-cardiff-craft-workshop
We use the side entrance to the studio (on Robert Street) which is very easy to quickly pull up by if you do need to drop off food/gifts etc before finding a space.
We are very easy to find on Google Maps
Can we arrive early?
Please aim to arrive NO EARLIER THAN 10 MINUTES before the start time of your party. The studio is a busy place, we often have several workshops and events happening each day and our tutors need the time to prepare everything.

Extend your party…
All of our parties are 2.5 hours (unless agreed otherwise) if you'd like to extend your stay at the studio by 1 hour (if available) it will be an extra one off payment of £50 which would be added to your invoice, please email us in advance to confirm availability on your party date.
The extra hour can be used as you wish for party games, food & drinks etc…lots of the food venues near us offer delivery but you would be responsible for organising everything for your extra time at the studio, please note we don’t have crockery & cutlery so we’re best suited to finger food/pizza/greek wraps etc..
Will Gwen, the studio dog, be at the studio during the party?
Gwen is at the studio most days so very well may be there for your party, she is super lovely and just chills on her chair! We have a webpage all about her that you might want to share with any guests who might be nervous of dogs - www.larkdesignmake.co.uk/gwen
Events Elsewhere
Our availability for events at your chosen venue are much more limited as it generally means the tutor can only do one event in a day due to the time it takes to travel/set up/pack down etc.. Therefore we generally only accept events for groups of 10 or more attendees to cover this extra time.
We also limit the crafting options available… we are very unlikely to do Candles, Lipstick making, Jesmonite & Dried Flower Wreaths at other venues due to the amount of resources needed & the mess those workshops create.
By all means make an enquiry as occasionally a venue and date work well for us, especially if the studio is already booked, but on the whole our tutors do prefer events at our lovely studio.
If we do accept a booking elsewhere we would need a place for everyone to sit and table space for all the crafting materials. We will generally need to arrive 15-30mins before the guests to get set up. Access to parking near the entrance is always helpful. Our events elsewhere are often shorter as we don’t provide refreshments.
