Shibori is a Japanese tie dye technique, the natural dye oxidises from green to a beautiful indigo blue. During this 2 hour workshop you will experiment with various techniques including the Sekka method using fan folds and blocks, the Arashi method of using a pipe to twist and make folds as well as the more well-known method Kanoko associated with using rubber bands and beads. You can then choose which will best suit your own project, a lightweight scarf which you can take home. There will also be cotton cushion covers and napkins available at a small extra cost if you’d like to dye more items.
