Bra Making – This is a 1 day workshop starting at 9am and finishing around 5pm and will cost £100. If the event is no longer showing on the calendar below it is sold out sorry!

Students will learn the techniques of bra making, lingerie fabrics and special notions. And of course key fitting issues.

This workshop is suitable for those with DRESS MAKING EXPERIENCE and CONFIDENCE IN USING THEIR OWN SEWING MACHINE.

You will be using the Black Beauty bra pattern which is available from sizes 28B to 40G, unfortunately they will not be able to take bookings outside this size range.

You need to complete your bra size at bookng- please do not use your usual size and use the info below to measure yourself

Everything will be provided with students coming away with a bra toile to further develop in future classes.

Whilst we would love each student to leave with a well-fitting bra – the purpose of this class is techniques and confidence.

How to Measure for the Black Beauty: 

For the most accurate measurement wear your best non-padded bra and use a soft tape measure.

1. Find Your Band Size

Measure directly under your bust, holding the tape measure snug against your chest.

Round this number to the closest even number (in inches), rounding up if you are directly in between. This is your band size.

2. Find Your Cup Size 

Measure over the fullest point of your bust, be sure not to pull the tape measure tight. Subtract your band size, from your full bust. Each inch of difference equals 1 cup size.

3. Find Your Bra Size

Put your band size and cup size together to get your bra size.

Finally, hot drinks and biscuits will be available throughout the day, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch of there are many food places nearby including Greggs.
