This workshop is suitable for those with a little experience of using a sewing machine. We’d recommend joining one of our beginners course if you are totally new to sewing before starting this course.

Join us for 3 action packed sewing weeks from a choice of 4 dates so you won’t miss out if you miss 1 session, if you wish to join all 4 sessions it will just cost an extra £10 which can be paid at the session. Dates are 13th, 20th, 27th Sept & 4th October, all are at 6.30-8.30pm

You will focus on lots of technical skills, You will spend time pattern cutting and learn about the correct use of fabric and tools. You will learn lots of terminology used in patterns and tips for confidently following a pattern.

You will have 6 projects to choose from, you will have time to make 2 and may need to do a little ‘homework’ between sessions -e.g. cutting patterns or finishing seams if you have a machine. Projects to choose from are a bucket hat, a beach or shopper bag, PJ bottoms, elasticated skirt , simple top & an apron.

Details of local and online shops you could visit for fabric and the quantity needed for each project will be included in the booking confirmation email. You can alternatively use fabric we have here at the studio, it will be £6 - £12 to buy fabric from us per project and pay at the end.

We have enough sewing machines for all attendees but bringing your own is a great way to get familiar with it and you can drop it off just before the workshops and then find a parking space.
