This workshop is suitable if you can already make the 'Classic' Granny Square or have been along to Gemma's Granny Square Workshop! The course will be accompanied by lots of helpful print outs & videos, a friendly & supportive Facebook Group PLUS lots of support from your tutor Sarah!
You can use any yarn you may have, it’s a great stash buster, &You can also buy them in Lark Design Make's shop anytime. Approximately 4 balls of Chunky Yarn at £8 is enough to make 33 Granny Squares! We will provide yarn at the early sessions for you to practice the techniques, but please bring along your own crochet hooks & tools!
This course is also a great introduction to reading written & pictogram patterns, along with our YouTube tutorials to guide you through the course.
You will be provided with a pattern booklet, a blocking pad & pack of blocking pins - PLUS refreshments are included during every session!

Here is the outline of each weekly session & what you will learn:
Session 1 - Tuesday 12th November A brief over view of the classic Granny square before learning the 'Solid' Granny, the 'Half' Granny & the 'Half & Half' Granny. Learn the process for changing yarn colours too - your homework will then be to make lots!
Session 2 - Tuesday 19th November This week we will learn some more creative granny layouts, the 'Daisy' Granny, the 'Sunburst' Granny & the 'African Flower' Square. Your homework will be to keep making more squares for your upcoming project!
Session 3 - Tuesday 26th November We will share how to block your squares & weave in the ends - we have a few time busting techniques to show you. Also you will be provided with project Granny Layouts from cardigans to bags, to guide to into creating your prefect item!
Session 4 - Tuesday 3rd December Finally you will learn a few different techniques how to join & finish projects, including the 'rib edging' technique which will give your projects that professional look. We usually have time to go through any queries or techniques you may have before the course ends.
