The Granny Stripe Jumper is a great crochet wearable as its worked from the neckline down, meaning NO ENDS to weave in!
Throughout this workshop, you will learn a range of new crochet skills & I have combined a few inclusive details too:
- You can make it to fit you exactly, whether you like oversized or fitted
- There are two designs to choose from, a simple finish with straight sleeves or a rib edge finish with puff sleeves
- Stitch guidance to use either Double Knit (DK), Aran or Chunky weight yarn, perfect stash buster!
- Learning how to read a crochet pattern, written & picture
It is a multiweek workshop, allowing you time in between the workshops to crochet & create your pieces. The weeks are as follows:
Session 1: Thursday 9th January - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
This session is all about starting your jumper, firstly choosing the weight of yarn to use & learning the Granny Stripe Stitch.
We'll learn all about how the jumper is constructed, beginning with the Yoke pattern.
Session 2: Thursday 16th January - 6.30pm to 8.30pm
This session we'll be looking at what 'splitting the sleeves' means & how to continue working on the body/sleeves.
We'll also start to think about what finish you'd like for you jumpers & setting some crochet goals for the final session.
Session 3: Thursday 23rd January - 6.30 to 8.30pm
This session we'll be finishing off with your chosen edging & looking at some blocking methods.
Blocking is a fab technique to learn that will even out your crochet & give your wearables the best finish!
Note: The workshop doesn't include yarn or crochet hooks - I really recommend using your stash yarn as this is a great stash buster project! ... or Lark has some gorgeous ones to purchase at your first workshop!

Tutorials will be available on YouTube for you to follow in between the workshops. Also this workshop is aimed at crocheters who are confident & can already crochet at least one stitch.
