Whenever possible we try to shop in person and we’ve enjoy getting to know the suppliers in the following shops -

If you head over to City Road…

• Crafty Sew & Sew 

Here you can find the tools and accessories for any form of needlework project. Whether that’s embroidery or knitting, cross-stitch or crochet - this place in an absolute staple for all your haberdashery needs. 

• Butterfly Fabrics

For dressmaking, patchwork quilting, making soft furnishings and catering for most other fabric-based craft projects, there are plenty different varieties of textiles to choose from at this shop, with clothing patterns available to buy for inspiration.
 
Up to Inverness Place on Albany Road…

• Spice of Life

This little gem is tucked away just off the high street and while being a fantastic place to get all your nuts, grains and pulses, it is also ideal for finding the perfect spices and petals for making soaps and bath bombs. On Sundays, you can find them at the Riverside Market next to Principality Stadium.
 
And across to Cathays…

• Trixie Lixie

This charming little store is situated away from any high-street in the heart of Cathays, and provides everything you’ll need for dressmaking. There are so many stunning fabrics to choose from, clothing patterns and haberdashery bits and bobs available, you’ll be glad you visited.

In the City Centre..

• Cardiff Indoor Market

There are 2 haberdashery shops with everything you could need, there are also fabrics suitable for fancy dress costumes.

• John Lewis Haberdashery

Excellent quality and choice and always friendly staff.

If you are willing to travel a little...

• Artificial Floral Supplies (AFS) - Taff's Well

Although catering primarily in artificial flowers, this is a fantastic source for most other crafting supplies too. It’s a perfect shop if you’re planning a party, a wedding, celebrating the holidays or if you simply want to add a few extra touches to your home. 

• Bridgend Fabrics

This place will blow your mind! It’s HUGE! There’s not so many fabrics for dress making but it’s amazing for home and craft activities.
